About Ann

Ann Schwartz received her B.A. from the University of Florida, Gainesville.  A former teacher, she is currently an award-winning artist, curator, and lecturer and a Past-President and former Exhibition Chair of Women in the Visual Arts and Past Interim-President of the Boca Raton Museum of Art's Artist Guild.  She was selected to represent the United States for the Farindola International Art Festival in Italy.

Mrs. Schwartz has served as a Destination Lecturer on ancient and contemporary art and provided hands-on Art & Design Workshops on cruise ships since November 2003.  She has given over 450 lectures and workshops on over 95 sailings.  For over ten years, she has written a column for the Aberdeen Times, "Art Happenings".

Ann was a sculptor in alabaster and exhibited and sold her art for many years while living in New Jersey.  She and her husband moved back to Florida where she grew up, in 1997.  Now Ann enjoys working with acrylics and creating collages with tiny scissors under a magnifying light.  Ann has participated in over 100 group exhibitions in the past 25 years, recently including the Boca Raton Museum of Art's Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRIC) Exhibition.  She has won numerous awards at the Armory Art Center, Coral Springs Museum of Art, ArtServe, The Nathan D. Rosen Museum Gallery, and Women in the Visual Arts' many exhibitions.  She was delighted to win "First Place" for her "Contemplation" collage at the Lighthouse Center for the Arts' exhibit, "The Art of 16 Associations."

Ann's art can be found in collections in England, Italy, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Missouri, North Carolina, and Florida.
